Cinnamon Roll Heaven

This weekend, I FINALLY made this cinnamon roll casserole that I’ve been seeing all over Pinterest.

It’s super simple, and really takes your breakfast to the next level. This recipe is kind of like cinnamon roll french toast in “monkey bread” form.

So so good, and so easy to throw together on a Saturday morning.

Recipe

  • 1 can cinnamon rolls (I used Trader Joe’s brand)
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon

Take the rolls out of packaging and cut each roll into 6 pieces. Grease a baking pan, and fill will cut up pieces of cinnamon roll. Whisk milk, eggs, and cinnamon together and pour over the top of the roll pieces. Sprinkle a generous amount of cinnamon sugar on top for extra flavor and crunch. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes (time can vary depending on type of pan). I used a bread loaf pan.

What A Difference A Little Paint Can Make!

I recently moved back to my hometown and into my DREAM apartment. (More pics + info to come soon!)

I’ve always had hand-me-down furniture + accessories, so this time, I wanted to treat my 25-year-old self to some real “grown up” furniture.

Although I did buy some new things, I re-purposed a lot of what I had. It’s amazing what a little paint can do! I had two old wooden desks from my last place that I never did anything with. But with a little paint magic, they were transformed into exactly what I was envisioning for my new space.

Glam Hippie Braid

Now that my hair has gotten longer, I’m constantly taming it into a side braid when it’s getting out of control. This is definitely a go-to look for me when my hair’s a bit too much to handle. ;)

Your Canvas

Did you know?
You are an artist. We are all artists.

And this life we are living in, right here right now. That’s our canvas.

What we decide to do with that canvas is our choice.
It’s our choice to wake up each morning and paint something beautiful.

To see the beauty, the good, the extraordinarily ordinary moments… and embrace them until they become a vision on our canvas.

If you mess up, even better. Because life’s not meant to be perfect. And we all have a different way we want our canvas to look. It’s not about being perfect. It’s not about staying within the lines of “what looks good” or what’s “right.”

It’s about grabbing that paintbrush, closing your eyes and saying, okay God, work through me. What will you have me paint today? Then seeing what happens from there.

What happens when you let go of the control and give it up to a higher power?

A beautiful piece of art.

Sweater Dress | Only $9

Last weekend, I went to a couples shower for a truly inspiring couple from my new church. I had never seen anything like it. So much support and love in one room. Since I’ve been back in Omaha, there have been so many moments where I know I’m here for a reason. Where I feel so blessed to be meeting such nice, genuine people. It’s going to be a great year.

Anyways, I’ll stop rambling now… I really wanted to share the outfit I wore because this dress is on sale now for only $9!!! Get it before it’s gone ->  http://bit.ly/1j4Aabg

Seriously one of my favorite purchases this year.
