Okay Okay… I know what y’all were thinking… I now give you permission to get your heads out of the gutter :)

No but seriously, this seems to be the trending question in this year’s Hair and Fashion. Are bangs back in…? Not side bangs (those have been around for a while now), but the full force fringe bangs? I personally LOVE them. I like the way bangs can frame any girl’s face and make her look like an instant movie star:

Stars like Zooey Deschanel, Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez and Rihanna are embracing the trend… and it seems like 2013 will be the year of fringe.

Thinking about getting this look but too afraid of cutting off a huge chunk of hair only to find out you look like a 5 year old little girl who cut her hair with craft scissors? … Ask your stylist if she can cut your bangs so that they can easily be styled off to the side as well. This is much easier with the longer fringe trend (bangs that sweep just below the brow).

I got my super awesome fringe bangs this summer… BEFORE Taylor Swift decided to take the leap (I just want to emphasize that as much as I like Taylor Swift’s music and all, I am not one of the masses that went out and got her bangs cut after Miss Swift decided it was cool)

The thing I love about having bangs is that you can style your hair in so many different ways… If you’re feeling the full fringe one day you can go for it, the next day wear them off to the side, the next, pin them back. Plus, they instantly glamorize any ponytail, bun or up-do. Don’t believe me? Try it out for yourself. Your hair can be a total hot mess – but tease it a little, throw it in a bun, style those bangs, and bam – you are good to go.
